Providing a Holistic Approach to Healing

It is not only my training and education that gives form to my work with people, it is my life experience and natural movement to love and care for others that truly motivates me. I have always had a spiritual calling and understanding of the beauty that is inherent in and between all of us. I have dedicated my life to letting go of my own limiting beliefs so that I am able to live a life of contribution.

Everything I share in my work with clients I put into practice in my own life and that's how I know the goodness of what is shared.

DAISY GROSSI, B.A., M.C.P

REGISTERED PSYCHOLOGIST

2010 to Present

I have spent the last years working with newcomers and refugees of all backgrounds from every continent on this earth... people with diverse backgrounds, religions, values, and beliefs.

What I have discovered is that every human being regardless of these differences ultimately wants to find love in his or her life. Every human being no matter how hurt, responds to the healing powers of love.

I have worked with all ages and many different family dynamics. I have worked with individuals, couples, and families. I have also enjoyed working with Aboriginal populations and am passionate about reconciliation and healing.

I completed my Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology at the Athabasca University graduating with honours.

2008 to 2011

QUALIFICATION

I studied psychology and received a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Alberta graduating with distinction.

2000 to 2004

Years In-Between

I spent my earlier years working with the healing power of food, yoga, and spirtual health. I spent many years studying spirituality independent from academia. I studied everything from Christianity, Sufism, Buddhism, and Islam, to the Course of Miracles. I also had two beautiful girls with my lovely husband.

I have spent many years with teachers and philosophers who gave so much to my own healing and have enabled me to share. I believe in the healing power of mind body spirit connection.

I am a Certified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, an evidenced based treatment for many issues including, but not limited to depression, anxiety, social phobias, panic attacks, and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

I also have certified training in the Gottman Method of Couples Counselling, which is also an evidence based treatment for couples.
